Hi all,
My 4 year old boar has suddenly acquired this trouble in his eye. suddenly, as in it wasn’t there when i left for work this morning and i’ve noticed it the moment i’ve seen him. i’ll ring a vet first thing, any idea what this might be? there’s no blood that i can see on my finger but don’t want to poke about and make it worse. he does seem to be keeping it more closed than the other. he can still see as he is reacting to my finger nearing that eye. my local exotic pet specialist is not available right now, so i’ll be seeing a general vet and would appreciate some things to suggest looking into for them. Thanks.

Ouch that does look sore. Good luck at the vets. They will hopefully prescribe painkillers and eye drops. They will usually put a dye in it to check for an ulcer.
