Bloody Urine?

Recently, I found a white towel that my Guinea pig urinated on and the stain was a orangish red. I suspect that this is bloody urine from a bladder infection because a few months earlier, my guinea pig was squeaking a bit whenever she urinated. I know I should take her to a vet as soon as possible but what should I do in the meantime?

Urine does dry orangeish once oxygenated so it may be that. I think with blood it’s more distinct in that it sort of pools separately from the urine itself.

If she’s squeaking when toileting she needs to see a vet. I don’t know that there’s anything you can do in the meantime.

My guinea pig hasn’t squeaked while toileting in months. Since the urine looks normal, Does that mean shes ok?

its not possible for us to determine that - only a vet can
As siikibam has said, urine does oxidise but we can’t see it so can’t know whether it’s blood or oxidisation
