Hello all, I'm going to give Maisie her first bath todayas she smells of pee pee where she has been poorly BUT i was wondering if she will be ok with the hairdryer as i know some of you do that with yours. how is best to do it? thanks
morning i have two words for you today.........good luck!! you are gonna need it trying to bath a piggy its like wrestling with a wet bar of soap lol
on a serious note hairdryers are fine to dry them with but make sure it is on the cool setting and dont hold too close to the piggy our two didny like the hair dryer so its the natural towel dry and warm cuddles for them
When blow-drying a guinea pigs hair, I tend to let them hide their faces between my elbow and my side; most are not keen on the dryer (although some are entirely carefree) and this way I have two hands free - one to hold the hairdryer and one to ruffle the hair!
mine freak out so much with just the trauma of bathtime i feel it would be an added cruelty to point a noise wind blaster at them too. Some piggys like it though don't they, my friends used to just sit on the bed on a towel and be blow dried and had her eyes closed like she was blissing out. Mine would have a collective coronary just at the sight of a hairdryer i think. Maybe see how she is when you switch it on, if shes going to freak out it will be initially from the noise and if she goes really wild you can probably guess shes not gonna be happy about the airjet either
