Hello , so we’ve got 4 boars living in 2 separate bonded pairs now 3 of them are perfectly fine but my one rescue piggy ‘-Theo’ who is the largest out of all of them (not 100% sure on there ages) is constantly biting the cage divider , now the pair living in the cage next door don’t seem to pay any attention to him and his room mate neither , not they have got a 2x8 cc cage with a divider , it’s a fairly new set up just over a week but his just started biting the metal now I don’t want him to get hurt , so I’ve put a towel over the divider so now he just goes underneath it to bite them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks :)

Have they always lived next door to each other prior to the new cage set up?

No there were in separate cages but only a few feet apart

It could be because they are now much closer together that your boar has got agitated by that. Could you try putting something more solid along the divide, something that stops them from being able to see each other but that can’t be moved and see if that calms him down.

Yeah that very well could be , think I will have to do that , Will he calm down once his used to the situation do you think ?

When I originally put my 'can't live together, can't live apart' boars in a divided C&C one of them went mad bitting the bars and tugging at the divider. I put a spare piece of corex the length and height of the divider into the cage so he couldn't see into the other side, I removed it for a longer and longer time gradually over the next week. He's mostly grown out of the bar biting now, he only does it if his 'friend' is out of sight for too long!
