One of my boars has just passed away and I am looking into getting another as the boar that was left appears to be depressed. You can take him out and put him on you lap and he wont move or make a noise. He rarely comes out of his bed either.

Anyway what I was going to ask is if I get another boar will I have to watch out for any bad behaviors.

Thanks

Keep an eye on them because sometimes boars don't get on together.

You could get a sow as they get on great, but you might have to get one of them neutered or spayed. x

How old is your lonely boy? A young boar or a compatible adult boar would probably be best. If bonded correctly a boar is generally the best option. Spaying of sows is not recommended unless for medical reasons, I lost one of my sows during a spay. Neutering boars is more common but often only used if the boar doesn't get on with other boars after several attempts.

There is loads of info here

Actually yeh i agree if your piggie has more experience with boars, i wouldn't risk getting one spayed, but my boar was fine when he got neutered. xx
