I have 4 boar brothers that are almost 14 months old (had almost a year). And the bond is as strong as ever. Is there really a chance that the bond won't last? I mean I have 4 of everything for everyone.

Or am I one of those exceptions to the rule?

You are definitely the exception of the rule! Usually a bond that has survived the teenage months will last - don't try to move them or change their cage massively, which requires a hierarchy sort-out that can throw an adult bond occasionally. :tu:

There is a small risk that boars that have made it through the teenage months without any upsets get into trouble right at the very end when all the others have settled their score and are either still together or have long since fallen out if it is was a clear mismatch or they haven't had enough space to get away from each other.

I got a 28 in by 84 in cage. And everyone frolics for hay/pellets and vegetables. If it hadn't been for this group. I wouldn't have known that I fed the wrong pellets. I get a 50lb bag of pellets every 3 or 4 months. And a bale of compressed Timothy grass every 2 months. But everyone is extremely happy so far.

They must be pretty laid back in outlook! If you ever decide to enlarge or give them an extra roaming area, use soiled bedding to make the new area smell like "home" in order to prevent any dominance issues.

Oh so mix like an 1/8 of old bedding into new bedding. Ok, got you will help me in the future.
