As Suzy does it loads and I believe that some of the rescues listed also do it. Am boar dating our lonely foster one starting tomorrow see how we get on. But apparently, according to someone on a Facebook page "you cant bond male piggies"

erm ookay right ho - i've bonded male to male before lol and i know others do too (and this is someone saying they are a rescue - well on their FB name they are "rescue" in the name)

Suzy's collection of many boar dates :)). Boar dating can definatly be done, as long as you know the right signs to look out for, have the right sort of set up and meet and greet, etc there's nothing to say it won't work. Yer some pairs just naturally won't work out but that's the point of boar dating.

Don't worry too much about what other people say- many are very much stuck on the idea that once alone a boar can't be put with another boar- though obviously you've proved that wrong yourself. Best of luck with the boar bonding :).

You know it can work so don't listen to those who obviously haven't got a clue what they are talking about!

Good luck with your boar bonding - doing some here at the moment so know what you are going through! Good luck.

ooooooooooo thats cool, do we get to see?

I'll try and do pictures if they allow me to lol

Have been keeping quiet re my boy bonding - Eddie lost his brother Crash earlier last week and after appearing to be coping ok for the first few days he suddenly became very quiet and with drawn. I'm trying him with one of the other single foster boys I currently have staying with me so watch this space!

Sadly, there are rescues and then there are "rescues"... :(

The vast majority of boars can be bonded and rebonded with the right amount of care, time and the willingness to try more than one boar to find a character compatible friend.

yes thats what we are hoping for. If this little one doesnt work out Crawley Guineapig rescue have offered him a space in around a months time (i guess when they have free space lol) - so if this one doesnt work out, and we cant get hold of any more to try (we are not paying for a baby) then he will go there - i'm hoping this little fella will work out - he was the runt of the litter

Well i dont even know much about them, they justappeared on a Facebook group that i left a comment on - but then again as you say not all rescues are good ones (know that from dog rescue, sooo many bad ones out there)

I am NOT going to set up a rescue (so dont worry there lol) i just help out by fostering guinea pigs if a reputable rescue aske me to (i like Sittingbourne ferret rescue, they normally do ferts lol so occasionaly in an emergency she'll send me a foster piggy thats come her way (or 2) ). Having had my own piggies i know more or less what i'm doing :p but Suzy has given me a big checklist to use so we'll go with that, its mainly what i've done before when introducing anyway
