My poor Raoul is missing his companion who we lost suddenly yesterday. I want to find him a friend asap but there is nowhere near me. I've emailed Bristol rescue place and waiting for a reply but does anyone know anywhere near Newport or Cardiff that he could boar date? And what does boar dating involve? How does he meet them?one at a time or a group?feel so sad for him tonight on his own

If the rescue isn't to busy they will bond them for you. So long as you've bought one of your piggys there.

My 3 year old male has recently lost his pal and is alone.I don't want him to be sad and lonely so looking for a place he can boar date.live in South wales but can travel. Can anyone help?

i can recommend glyneath rescue in south wales, suzy does a bonding service,it is a very high standard rescue.maybe you can look at the rescue page and contact her ? suzy responds quickly to emails or message on facebook.ring between 10 am and 4pm.ive recently adopted guinea pigs from here,it is excellent, very clean, high standards.it is south wales not far from neath /merthur tydville spelling incorrect !

If you look on the 'Rescue and Rehoming' > "Guinea Pigs looking for homes " subforum you will find some lovely piggies that they have currently looking for their forever homes. Best of look finding a friend for Raoul, so sorry about losing his companion. Have you had a look at the threads on caring for a bereaved piggie?

Boar dating involves taking him to a rescue and leaving him there, either during the day or for several days (better) so that your boar can meet any suitable boars they may have in a neutral run. They will select those boars they think most likely to get on with yours and try them one boar at a time, until they find a good match. I was lucky the first 3 times I went boar-dating, then I had submissive boars who were just happy to have a new friend and didn't mind if he was 'boss'; most recently though my present boar was the dominant one and didn't get on with any of the boars he met, so he had to be neutered and found some sows instead.

Thank you i will try to email her
