I had received a right vicious chewing out over getting Snowy from a shop and planning on getting him neutered and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing and I was a terrible person. I have mental health issues and my anxiety exploded. I literally felt as if I had killed someone. I know the rescues do a fab job, but I was nearly turned off owning piggies yesterday. I will never go to another one again. It was awful.
 Cripes, that's awful, no-one has the right to make you feel like that! Sorry you had such a bad experience

Thanks to everyone here I feel much better about Snowy today. Yesterday I was minutes from taking him back to the adoption centre and putting my beloved girls up for adoption.

So sorry that some people only feel better about themselves when taking others to task  . You are an awesome piggie slave to your girls (and boy) and they would miss you very much. Massive hugs

Four piggies is my absolute max if bonding fails...only four...no more after that!

Yeah, right.

Sigh
Its hard not to get more as they are so lovable .......and full of personality :bronco:......and tricks to get all they want...one wheek at a time

nope I'm not planning to add to my herd......

Crystella, you are right! Massive personalities in a compact, tiny body famous for pooing and peeing in odd places.

I will admit, Snowy is a bit More pongy than the girls. Them I cannot smell at all. I think he's been scent marking, as this only his 4th night with us.

He's adorable though. I'm going to have to get something from gorgeous piggies...I have bought a dry shampoo from P@H but I don't want to use it. I need to let him settle down more, but give him a huge pile of hay and I don't see him for hours!

I was upset about what the rescue told me, but I'm ok now. I can't believe I seriously considered putting my lot up for adoption!i couldn't be without my girlies and my little boy...

That's why I love this forum. They don't judge and educate us with good advice and support for on the important things, being our Guinea Pigs. The small animal shampoo is better than that dry shampoo for guinea pig's. Or better yet, spoil him with Shampoos
