Lolly
Junior Guinea Pig
We have a good friend's two little sows on holiday with us at the moment and the difference between them and my boars is very noticeable! I know part of it is that they don't know us but it's really quite amusing!
These two sows are 2/3 the size of my boars despite the fact they are about 2-3 months older. They are dainty pretty, gentle little fluffy things, my boars are big, lumps who throw themselves around their cage, very noisily!
The girls eat really tidily and take their time. My boars hoover everything up in record time whilst throwing it all over the place. I saw something on the feeding guide that said to take uneaten fresh food away after an hour - the only thing the boys have left uneaten after 10 mins is the dish!
The poo - OMG the poo! I didn't realise how much the boys did! The girls are leaving little piles in the corners and a few scattered around. The boys leave it all over the place and it's twice the size that the girls do! Seriously looks huge! It's probably due to the amount they eat - constant hay nibbling and grazing!
I wouldn't swap them though!
