Jayne.

I have a trio of almost 5 month old boars & two of them - Timmy & Toby don't get on too well.

Luckily though, Freddy has taken to just divebombing in between them as if to break the fight up & strangely it works everytime!

It's fascinating to watch! Toby & Timmy will begin chattering, lifting there heads & circling each other & then out of nowhere Freddy will race across the cage & dive straight into the middle of them! After a few squeaks,, all 3 go their seperate ways! :))

Freddy gets on equally with Timmy & Toby & although he's the least dominant one, he seems to make them listen, God knows how! ?/

So I'm thinking Freddy is going to be the glue that holds the trio together! :)

I really hope it can work. It is unusual for three boars to get along as they work best as pairs. Good luck.

Fingers crossed that they can make it through the whole length of the stroppy months!

Unfortunately, trios of hormonal youngsters are particularly prone to fall outs. It would be a good idea if you thought now about what you can do in terms of accommodation etc. if you need to separate one of the boys after a bloody fight, so you don't panic in case something happens.

I have a C&C cage & lots of spare grids,, so I can quickly separate the cage into 2!

At the moment I'm keeping an extra close eye on them & checking them daily for wounds.

So far so good! :)
