We are hoping to get piggies again soon but timing depends on finding a boarder.
Those of you who do board your piggies, please would you give me an idea of what I should expect to pay ?

I’ve found a place about 20 miles from us which looks really good but I have no idea of what is a reasonable price.
Thanks,
X

For 2 pigs where I live it's about £65 a week depending on what size cage you want. But certainly picking a boarders you trust makes all the difference.

My place is £12 a day for two separated boars in individual cages. I've seen other places more expensive
May I ask where do you board the piggies? I'm looking for a new boarding place for my piggies that has a big enclosure and uses fleece as bedding. The one we usually use is closing their busines on Dec.

Sorry @Merab for hijacking your thread. 😁

The place I board doesn't use fleece bedding (they use sawdust/shavings) and the enclosures aren't as big as their c and c at home. But it's local for me and affordable. I suspect there are better options for you. @YvonneBlue used to use a place that had c and c cages and fleece, but I think she might have said that she had to change to another boarder.

I board at Maria’s Animal Sanctuary it’s £12 per night per cage. It’s not the cheapest around here but I like the fact that they are being looked after by people who have years of experience of looking after poorly piggies at it’s a small pet rescue, just in case one falls ill and their cages are a great size with lovely big fleece beds and wooden bridge type tunnels

I currently use Pampered Piggies they are on fleece in C&C cages. It is in a purpose built cabin with aircon and heating. I think it is currently £9 a night for my trios and £7 for my pair of piggies. Pampered Piggies are in Audenshaw.

I can also recommend Wheeks Away who foster for The Potteries GP Rescue. They are near to Stoke-on-Trent. I have seen their set-up, it is indoors and all C&C with fleece. They bonded my very difficult sow Maude with Baby Esme. Not sure what they charge for boarding.

Thanks for this Yvonne! I know Pampered Piggies and was supposed to book with them years ago but didn't push through. I'll have a look with both boarding places and let hubby decide where he wants to drive. 😁

When I went away a couple of months ago mine all went on holiday to Cavy Corner and had a great time! They are all housed in loads of hay and have hideys and there is always someone there to give meds and attention. They are in Doncaster and are £4 per day per piggy. Sue and her volunteers are lovely. Hope that helps

That’s a good option.
I looked at the website but there was nothing there about boarding.
I will investigate further.
