Hi,

About 3 weeks ago I sprained and fractured my ankle and I'm stuck upstairs due to the healthy ankle being my long-time weak one and itkeeps giving way so I can't walk :( :(

Unfortunely that's left me reliant on my family for help taking care of my 4 piggy babies. I hoped to be capable by now but it's becoming clear it'll be another few weeks before I can begin to resume proper care for them. It seems a bit drastic to rehome because I'm out of action of a couple of months and I love them so much I'd hate to never see them again. So I was wondering whether it would be viable to put them into a nice boarding/holiday home for 3 or 4 weeks?

I can provide food/bedding/hay/treats etc and their hutches (although I wouldn't be able to transport their hutches without help as I don't know anyone who could lift them :( ).

Does anyone know of a boarding home in the Norwich area, who'd be able to take good care of my babies for me for a while?

I'm not sure of any boarding places etc in Norwich but if anyone on here is in or around Norwich maybe they could look after them until your better for you? :)

Does anyone have any experience with COSTA-DEL-FIDO? what they're like with the animals, whether they follow instructions etc. We've had bad experiences with boarding cats before (they didn't feed them) so I'd like as much info as I can find.

Does anyone know of any other places near by?

Cheryl from Sprowtson guinea pig rescue works closely with costa del fido It is based in a pet shop called Fidos in the Dixons centre that is local to me. I am not sure how many piggys they tale but the cages in there are always clean and tidy and the staff are very nice two of them are very guinea experienced. Maybe if you pop into Fidos pet store in Dixons in Hellesdon you can check it out for yourself see what you think O0
I am afraid we are guinea pigged out at the moment with babies due I would not have time for 4 extras at the moment. Kiki may well need enducing so it is back to the vets tomorrow if she does not pop tonight.
