What is it with boars that they can be fine and lovey dovey one minute and then you give them a new hutch and its like they have never met each other so on with the teeth chattering and face offs malletheadmallethead anyone like to adopt 5 of the ?

") but they are great in so many other ways ;)

Sounds like they are all re-asserting their dominance because they are in new territory! Hopefully it should calm down soon...just keep an eye on them!

its allabout balancing things out right, have you a group of 5 boars?
pray do tell me how you do it, I'm trying my hardest to keep everything perfect for a group of 3:x:x

they all seem to have settled now :-) and all are appreciating the extra room/new space

me to!

Hi I am new to this so hope I do it right! Just been reading about the piggy boys friends/not friends business! So I am not alone! I have had two piggy brothers living together since birth last year. Now they suddenly decided they don't much like each other. Seperated them and thought I would have to re-home one of them. Advertised them and got a helpful lady suggest I take them to visit a lady in Cambridge. Now decided I shouldn't give up! This week I have managed to put them together for a bit of time each day. No need to panic - as I was! Tonight I had them both on my lap in a cosy towel and they chatted and fell asleep then from no where decided to wake up and got cross with each other! WHAT! Glad I just read what you all are saying cos maybe it's just normal! Still sleeping them seperately at night - bit afraid of finding a blood bath in the morning. They have now been to the Guinea Pig hospital in Huntingdon and had check-ups, wormed and Rona bathed them for me and gave me lots of helpful advice. No excuses now! They need to get on cos they are both so cute in there own little ways. Quite different from each other - just so cute. thanks all. Any more advice?

A bonding bath sometimes helps to get them to gel again - have just told my daughters friend to do this with her oggies as they kept falling out - but then again I have been telling the girls mother for ages that they really do need more space - with boars the bigger the space the better.
