so i have had my two piggies (Eugene and Pearl -yes theyare both boys) since may, and they are getting on well at the moment, i think they are roughly 6 months, as I'm not exactly sure how old they were when we got them. they are an aby cross, so their hair gets pretty long.

over the last week ive noticed -when doing their daily checks- that a few times the hair around their bum is getting pretty long and sometimes being pulled up inside when the penis is retracted and it seemed to be pulling on the skin around this area, it also seemed to be agravating him (as this mainly happens to my dominant piggy.) at the moment i have gently teased the hair out, and sometimes its quite firmly in place and he seems ok after.

my main question was wether i should be leaving them to sort it out themselfs, attempt to remove the hair if it gets stuck, or just trim the hair? is this normal? or ahev i just got extra hairy piggies!?

I would trim up the hair around their bums so it doesn't keep getting caught up. You can try removing it gentley. Use mineral oil to help loosen the hair if it is not coming off. I have 3 long haired boys and I keep their bums really short. Plus it helps with the smell and mess down there :)>>>

Apart from the hair trimming.......It might also be wise to invest in some KY jelly.

I have a couple of boars whose "bits" get entangled with "gunk" from time to time and end up protruding and drying out. A bit of KY helps "pop their bits" back where they should be. ")
