I’ve previously posted about Bobby being poorly and therefore irritable with his cage mate Beans. We separated them when Bobby went for him, which I now realise was a mistake.

They were just two weeks into their bonding and up until that point it had gone so well. We did put Bobby’s behaviour down to being poorly. We have tried putting them together today on what we think is ‘neutral territory’ with plenty of veggies. Unfortunately straight away they have fought and blood has been drawn.

Bobby is around 11 months and Beans around 6. Is there no hope now for reconciliation? Of course they are now separated again. I’m so gutted - we only bought Beans as a friend for Bobby who isn’t neutered.. we took him for a bonding session and he came away with who we thought was a good friend.

Thank you both for the responses - I think that’s what I was expecting. So gutted but it happens! I love them both very much and all I want is for them to be happy and healthy so this is what we will have to do.
