I know this is a silly question to ask but does everyone clean ther boars 'private areas'? I noticed that my one Joey sometimes had bits of hay/grass in his 'area' and now always check him daily and Gizmo. But once when I done it his penis came out and it was smelly and dirty with like bits of hay and creamy stuff on it, I cleaned it and the smell went and all looked normal. Now I clean there 'areas' about every two weeks to a month with warm water and cotton buds. Does anyone else do this? Joey always has bits stuck on his but Gizmo isnt as bad. LOL.:p
I just wanted to know that I'm not the only one who does it.")

I think the white creamy stuff is usually stale wee. I notice my guinea pigs have hay and grass sticking out of that area sometimes but I just pull it out =]

The thick white creamy stuff is not stale wee as such. It could be dried ejaculate, or "sand" ie the basic material of bladder stones, or normal secretions from around the "tube" that contains the penis. Grass etc around that area is very common.
The area is easily cleaned just by removing the debris by wiping it off with a finger. Quick, simple and effective.

Is it anything to be worried about or is it normal for boars to have dirty areas? Like I said I either clean it once a month or twice a month. Gizmo bits isnt that dirty/smelly but sometimes Joey's is. (He is the more dominant one.) I felt there wee when it was dry but no gritty fellings, it sometimes dries as a white powder but not always. The stufff on his penis is a creamy colour and comes off easy. Its also smells like dried wee but once its cleaned there is no smell. I looked up some inforamtion on Guiena Lynx and it said on there that sometimes boars need there areas cleaning. Just wanted to know how often and was it normal?

What you describe is perfectly normal. As for cleaning the area, just clean it as often as it needs to be done, it just depends how quickly the area becomes "dirty".
