We now have 2 pairs of bonded boars. We have them in adjoining cages. Unfortunately my daughter let 2 into the others cage while they were out in the run. Is this ‘unsettling’ for the piggies? I was cross. Should I be?

I've got two groups of boars and occasionally pop them in the run one group right after the other and I've never had any problems. I've never put them in each others cages though, so I can't comment on that with first hand knowledge.
Theoretically it could cause a dominance issue, but if they've settled back in, no harm done. I wouldn't make a habit of it though.

Thanks Renee. You’ve answerered both my questions actually. I wouldn’t put them in each other’s cages for the reason you point out. My daughter was trying to extend their run. So you think it’s ok for pairs of boars to share a run? I wouldn’t do this if there was a risk of infection of course.

Mine are okay with it, and since it's a strange environment for them ie. not home, I don't see a problem. (obviously not all at the same time - that really would kick off lol). Good luck x
