Bob has lost his dear partner

Hi there

l'm new here so hope you dont mind me posting. We have a black pig called Bob whos about 4 years old. Last night he sadly lost his beloved partner pepper the rabbit. Bob has been pinning this morning and l am unsure what to do, whether to get another rescue rabbit or whether to get a rescue guinea, l have heard so much about not letting rabbits and guineas live together that l thought l would get Bob a new guinea friend, any advice would be most appreciated

Welcome to the forum.:))
On here its not promoted that pigs and rabbits live together as rabbit have the potential to really hurt if not kill a guinea.

Where abouts do you live?

Hi, so sorry about the loss of Pepper. Yes, I think it would be good for Bob to have a new friend, of the piggie variety rather than a bun. I'm sure there will be a lot of helpful advice for you on here ..... it's an excellent Forum, lovely people and much information to be gleaned .... so welcome, even though it's such sad circumstances.

Yeap, we are all friendly on here and helpful.

It is not recommended that rabbits and guinea pigs live together, so I am sure that no-one on here will be steering you in that direction. A rescue piggy would be a great option. A baby boar perhaps? Or you could try bonding him with another adult boar, but very carefully.

I am sure that Bob won't be lonely for long with all the lovely piggies that come on here for rehoming!
 
hello and welcome i would also say that you should get him a new piggie friend and not another rabbit and sorry for your loss
