Hopefully from tonight 3 will become 4 as I brought Bob home to his new home. The plan is for Tommy and Bob to become a bonded pair and only if he bonds will he be able to move in permanently. Bob has taken to Tommy like a duck to water, Tommy is less than sure and is still rumble strutting and throwing his weight around however, day by day things are getting better. Bob now has a cage next to Tommies and each night they have play time together in a paddling pool (obviously not full of water).

Poor lad hasn't had the best start to his new home, first of all he got dumped on Michelle Pawz drive way as I attempted to reverse off her drive, poor lad must of wondered what on earth was going on and then he had to endure an roller coaster ride home in which all could be heard from the back of the car was the sound of scrabbling paws but he's here now and starting to settle in. He's adorable ^)x)x)

Here he is

Oh what a rough start! Glad he's made it here safe and sound. x) Bob is VERY handsome and I hope the bond goes successfully. xxxxx

Update:

This morning I put them together and Tommy immedediately went nuts and went for poor Bob, I separated them and gave them time apart. I put them back together and they have been together for over an hour and aside from rumbling things seem more settled. I have also tried Bob with Harry and Sparky my already bonded pair and they loved little Bob straight away and Bob loved them so if all else fails there is the possibility of Bob moving into to Harry and Sparkys gaff

Best of luck for Bob and all his possible friends! He is a stunner! x)

Bob's just beautiful - what a gorgeous guinea.

Hope he settles in just fine. x

Things not going well at the minute, Tommy and Bob were doing well at Michelle Pawz but since we got them home and on his territory (though they are meeting on neutral territory) he has took it seems to bullying poor Bob, yesterday I put Bob in with Tom and he spent the afternoon trying to blend in with the wall as Tommy stalked him, then things would settle down for a while then Tommy would stalk him again terrifying Bob this morning I put them together and he went to tuck in for the breakfast I put down for them both and everytime Bob went to get some food Tommy ran at him rumbling strutting and chattering his teeth causing poor Bob to run off.

last night I put Bob with Harry and they got on fantastically and had great fun together and I have tried him with my already bonded two and after he made it clear he's happy not to be boss they settled down well together. I have also tried Harry with Tommy (they seem to get on well when there are bars between them) and Tommy launched straight at Harry, I then put Sparky with Tommy, he tried it on with Sparky but Sparky made it clear that he was taking non of his crap and walked off. I am beginning to wonder if Tommy is one of the very small minority of pigs that is better off on their own.

I am sorry that things don't seem to be going right. However, there is sill time yet and if Tommy doesn't accept Bob, at least you know Harry more than likely will do.
Good luck and don't give up hope xx

I have tried bathing them together and it seemed to work well but 20 minutes later Tommy attacked him again, I think enoughs enough for Bob

I really hate the thought though of returning Bob to rescue as he is so gorgeous and loving 8...8... but its unfair on Bob to expect him to live alone or have to cope with Toms bullying and I don't have room for an extra cage were I can place Bob and a friend. I could bond him with Harry and Sparky but that still leaves Tommy alone on his own but having seen what I have seen I question whether he wants a friend at all pow-powpow-powmallethead

Sorry to hear things are not going well with the bonding Wanda :(
Tommy sounds just like my Pumpkin the ASBO peru rolleyes I have tried everything with him, he is neutered and he wont even accept a sow .

Thanks Graham for your post, it helps to know that some pigs are just that way inclined and its not something I am doing wrong I am beginning to wonder if Tommy will accept any friend at all. Trying with a sow is a road I don't want to go down as I have two bonded males and it could cause ructions with them. Michelle has suggested maybe trying him with a baby which is a great suggestion but having seen the way Tommy had behaved towards Bob, Harry and Sparky I think I would be terrified to put something so small and precious with a piggy like Tommy.

Some piggies do not like the company of others - you have done your best with Tommy, so you do not have to feel guilty!

Thanks for your posts I feel terrible about what has happened poor Bob is in a right state and has headed back to Michelle Pawz tonight. We have both come to the conclusion that it is very unlikely that Tommy will accept any piggy as a friend.

However all is not lost in a couple of weeks time we are going to try and bond Sparky and Harry with Bob, it may not not work as a trio of boars often doesn't but they seemed pretty accepting of him while he was here so watch this space.............................................................

He is darling. Eye wateringly darling.

So sorry that it's not going so well with the bonding. :(

I do hope it all goes well eventually.
Best of luck!

Auntie Wanda will remember Jim and Joe after they stayed at hers on route from Uncle Grahams.

The boys took on Chocolate after he lost his house mate Ginger. They want to send their love and good luck for bonding your two boys with bob.
