My guineapig is on antibiotics due to URI and eye pushing out of socket. He is thankfully getting better everyday but I've noticed unusual behavior.

He bobs/nods his head a lot than usual. He looks like he is looking for something and tries to find the smell(?)

He does this less or stops when he's falling asleep or daydreaming...I also assume he might be having trouble breathing perhaps but I can hear air going in and out of his nose when he tries to smell... is he just curious or should I be worried? 😯

Maybe it's due to his URI
If you're worried you could take him to the vets.

Is his nose in the air when he’s doing it? I’m trying to picture it out but can’t! If you’re worried then it’s best to take him to the vet.

Yeah he lifts his head and smells it... Or come to me all of sudden and smells me (I showered 😐) and then he just keeps looking for it ...

Hi!

Your vet may want to check the heart and the lungs for fluid build up; it can be a symptom for heart problems.
Fingers very firmly crossed for the retrobulbar abscess, too, that is pushing the eye out.
