I'm so pleased, I weighed Bob last night and he's put on another 49grams in a week!
We were so worried about him. He was 1258g on 20 August, the first weight we recorded when he came to us. He steadily lost weight every week down to 1070g on 30 October. We'd been to the vets a couple of times and couldn't find a reason for the weight loss and feared it was maybe his time and a result of his diabetes.
I mentioned to Karen at Reading Guinea Pig rescue that I was worried about Bob and she suggested worming him. He then lost 69grams in 5 days meaning he was only 1001g
I ordered Four Seasons Anti Parasitc from Holistic Pet Supplies and gave it to him on 5 October, he put on 41 grams in 24 hours! His weight has steadily increased over the last month and yesterday he was 1151grams.
Good boy Bob!
He's much more interested in veggies now. I don't have to go and get him to come out for breakfast in the morning. He's there with the others wheeking away and climbing the bars!
I'm so happy, he's a different pig, he's got much more energy and is popcorning regularly.
I'm so thankful to Karen for suggesting it.
Just wanted to share my happiness and experience that worming is worth trying for unexplained weight loss.

I am glad he's doing so much better and that someone suggested worming. I am glad you found the Four Seasons worked, whether with that or with Ivomec & Panacur there are certainly plenty of cases to warrant it.
