Really stupid question, are guinea pigs surposed to be fully "tic tac/minion" shaped (long and rounded) or have a little wider in the middle? Not sure if my shelties are abit over fed, they run, poo well and eat well.

I wouldn't worry, its all in the genes. Some piggies are bigger then others.

My 4 are all different shapes and sizes. All mine are fed the same but one is a real pear shape, one is like a little round ball, one is a tic tac shape and one is like a long sausage. Gotta love their individuality.
