Junior Guinea Pig
Bon Bon! My angel, RIP you stunning little lady!
Bon Bon didn't have the easiest of starts in life all those years ago, she had a terrible home where she wasn't fed, claws were left to grown causing terrible foot issues and then they were left to live in their own dirt! She was in such a terrible mess. She was also born blind in one eye.
I luckily then got to bring her and her two sisters Biscuit and Marshmellow (RIP Marshmellow) to their new home with me. My ladies were given 3 glorious years of being spoilt rotten and fed veggie goodies.
Then my lovely lady recently developed an issue with her eye which led to her having it removed! She fought through despite being an old girl, she refused to eat and we had many a stressed moment together with syringe and hand feeding, but she pulled through, she made it and recovered but was left totally blind.
But sadly, a month later old age caught up with my beautiful little one! I went to check on her and she'd drooped to laying on her side, to save stress I called out the emergency vet who informed me that my little beauty has chosen her spot and that the end was near. I stroked her till the end and gave her soothing words while telling her how much she meant to me and how loved she was!
I have been taking comfort in the fact I did what was best for her and she pulled through the operation and lived out her last days cuddling her sister and in her hutch exactly where she loved to nibbling on fresh veggies and having snuggles with her mummy every day!
RIP Bon Bon! My amazing, strong, stunning little Guinea Pig!
