I recently posted about taking four sows in. A friend has recently lost one, so would like two of mine to bond with hers, is this cruel to split a group up?

Have been watching them, two are fat and always get to the food first and the other two are slimmer but do get their share and they not being bullied over food.

I've only ever had boar and sow pairs so a group is new too me.

You can split piggies, but be aware that the dynamics between them will change as a new hierarchy is established. I would rather recommend to date the whole group on neutral ground with the single girl and see who gets on best with her.

i was going to say no, but then i thought that this is what some rescues seem to do don't they? they have lots of females living together and then when some are adopted they are rehomed from that group. so it might work. if it was me i wouldn't split a group up that i already had though. that's just me personally though. :)
