Teenage Guinea Pig
Hi everyone,
I sadly lost one of my bonded pair of Guinea pigs this afternoon, they were sisters and have been together all of their lives (5 and a half years). Pebbles, who is my remaining Guinea pig is now alone. She seems happy and not phased about the situation but I can't help but feel sorry for her!
I also have another girl who is around 6 years old. She has been on her own since I got her around 5 years ago as she was a rescue case and despite many attempts to bond her with my others it hasn't worked. She has since mellowed a lot though and plays with my other girl in the garden and they seem to get along a lot better.
My question is, would it be worth trying to bond them both together or would this be stressful as one girl has just lost her partner and the other has been alone for so long and is used to it? They are both older pigs and I don't want to put them under any stress. Advice is welcome!
