If the boar of a herd rejects a new sow will the rest of the herd reject her too? We were Introducing a new sow to our herd (5 girls and 1 boy) and the boar rejected her and they ended up fighting, we separated them and tried introducing her to one of our girls that is normally very friendly but they ended up fighting too so we separated again. Thinking of trying her with one more girl, the most chill and calm one of the herd before we call it quits but don't know if it's just unnecessary stress when it's already over or if there's still a chance she can have a friend. The rescue has said they will take her back if they won't bond, we just don't want to give up on her if we can give her a good life.

How old is your new piggy? This is an interesting case. Also, how old is your boar?

If she gets on with the one more girl you want to try her with, do you Plan to keep those two together or attempt to reintroduce to herd? I think the latter would not work.

Hi thanks for the replies, unfortunately she has gone back to the rescue now, talking to them last night/this morning we decided that it was in her best interest. Sad times for us but she'll be better off
