Just a quick question really as it only just crossed my mind. Zombieprincess is coming on Friday to try and bond Harvey with Buddy. Now I was thinking of setting up neutral ground in the living room using the run... only thing is I have just thought about my 4 piggies being in the same room - neutered male and 3 females. Is the scent/sound/sight of females going to negatively affect the chances of harmonious bonding? Would I be better placed trying out another area of the flat?

i would try a different area of the flat personally... not just becuase of the scent of female piggies might put the two males on tender hooks.... but also you have to think about the quarantine risk...
i am in no way insinuating that she has ill pigs... but its just standard practice to keep un quarantined piggies away from your own pigs...
and good luck with the bonding...!
look forward to hearing the results...!

I too think a seperate area would be best too, for both reasons. Harvey has had a vet check a few weeks ago due to a previous bonding at an animal shelter but you can't be too cautious.

i really didnt want it to sound b*tchy but i couldnt think of a better way to say it...:red
if any animals come for bonding at mine.. all bonding happening in my house well away from all the piggies... its just common practice me thinks...

OK glad I thought of it, luckily my flat is quite big so will get a setup away from the living room, I think it would also help them stay calmer anyway. Thanks for your responses
