bonding guineas...

Hello...

Basically I rescued young guinea pig (Sprinkles) about 2 months ago and have finally found her some friends. Our new pigs (called Munchkin and Pumpkin) arrived today :smitten:

So... I was wondering what the best way to introduce them would be. The 2 new pigs are sisters so they are already bonded. They are all young pigs... Sprinkles is not yet fully grown and the other two girlies are about 2-3 months old (i think...). Little munchkin is a runt too so she looks so small. Are they too young to be introduced? Could they fall out when they get older?

Any advice wold be appreciated...

Girls are quite easy to introduce, i ahve 3 girls all bonded at different times. Hermione my newset is also the smallest in the trio but she does fine.

I you have a large run you could put them all in there with hay, food, toys stuff to keep them busy and just kep a look out. My 2 bonded with my 3rd instantly and where able to go in the hucth (cleaned out) aftre a few hous

ok... Something went wrong

I put sprinkles with the 2 babies on the couch to see how she would react. She was SO happy and started to lick them. She then lay down in between them and looked so relaxed... so I put them outside in a spare run together. They had a box to hide in and plenty of grass to eat... but munchkin (the tiny runty one) attacked sprink! I did not expect the baby to attack sprinkles... basically munchkin has a nipped ear and there was a bit of fur flying but they are ok... which is good... but i don't know what to do...

I am getting some wire mesh to divide the run in half so they can get used to each other but not attack each other... i just had no idea that such a small piggy would react like that... what went wrong?

Hm not sure never had that with my 3 was pretty easy. Thats a good idea dividing the run, let them get used to each a while and youcan try again. Hope it all works out
