Hi,
We tried bonding our neutered boar with 5 of our sows this evening and it wasn't a successful experience.
The girls had a Husboar who they were all enjoyed spending time with and then he died a couple of months ago.
Our new boa was neutered 6 weeks ago and we put him in with them in a neutral space where none had been before.
There was initially a lot of humping (and eating veggies), then he sat on his own as the sows sat together and relaxed. Things looked as if they were going OK as he came and sat with them. After 1.5 hours they all seemed settled and we put them in the hutch together - this is where things spiraled downwards. The biggest of our girls (who we think is the boss / most dominant) started chasing him and they were having a proper fight, lots of screaming coming from the boy and she flipped him over. I immediately took him out. After that she seemed ok and the rest of them have just been chilling out.
Is it worth giving this another go as the poor boy has been on his own and is very lonely and frustrated (he keeps on gnawing his hutch all night - its very loud!)
