I took the plunge last night and split up my baby boys (two are 6 weeks old and the other three are coming up for 10 weeks old). They were introduced on neutral ground, all their toys were washed beforehand and each group had a monster pile of hay to share. After the initial few hours of insessant rumblestrutting and humpy-wumpies and a night back in their new cages, I think we might be doing ok!
So Ginger Bum and Pock Pock (as they have been named by their new owner) are going to their new home on Sunday and I still need to find somewhere nice for the two bigger boys to go. The little brown boy in the second photo is my extra-toe pig - who lost his extra toe! - and will hopefully be bonded with a new friend soon.
Fingers crossed that peace shall reign!
