My 4 year old Percy and 6 month old Gerald have been in the bonding pen for an hour. It’s 7pm now and I’ll keep them in there for another hour or so. There has been teeth chattering but they’re generally ok. If I were to transfer to the enclosure before bed I’m terrified that they could attack each other in the night and I won’t know! On reflection I should have done this at the weekend in the morning. Shall I try again at the weekend? Please help as I’m worried for them overnight! Thank you!

Now you have started you have to see it through tonight.

I would watch them until you go to bed and leave them in the bonding pen overnight (two hours in neutral territory isn’t always enough - moving to the cage is the bit you don’t want to rush as if it is done too soon before they are done setting up their hierarchy it will cause a further round of dominance once they are in their main cage).
Move them to the cage in the morning as they will be done by then.
It is then a further two weeks for them to fully set up the fine details of their bond

I always leave my piggies in the bonding pen overnight. Just to make absolutely sure they are ok. Glad your bonding is going ok.
