Please take the time to read this bonding guide. It takes you through all the phases from the preparation until the end of the dominance phase about 2 weeks later with the typical behaviours and dynamics for each stage, good ones and bad ones, so you can judge better what is actually happening and can avoid the worst bonding mistakes.
What no bonding guide can promise you is that your guinea pigs will ultimately get on. guinea pigs are very much like people; you can stick them together in an office, but you cannot make them all to like each other on first sight or to become best of friends. there is no trick in the world that can make you like somebody you cannot stand, and the same goes for guinea pigs. You can set your bonding up to give your piggies the best chance, but any other trick like the much praised pre-bonding bath etc. will only delay the bonding process and stress out the piggies additionally - exactly what you do not want to do!
PS: Here is our new owners information collection. It addresses the most often asked for problems by new owners and also helps you to learn what is normal and what not and how to care for your guinea pigs best. Getting Started - New Owners' Most Helpful Guides
