Hello, I have recently lost a guinea pig which has left his brother behind, I know guinea pigs are social animals so I’m wanting to get another partner for him.
I’m based in Sheffield and was wondering where the best place to go for another piggy would be as I would preferably like to go to somewhere where boar dating is an option :) thankyou

Hi!

I am very sorry for your loss!

Your current closest place that we can most warmly recommend for boar dating is Cavy Corner in Doncaster. You and your boy will be both in very experienced and kind hands there!

Milhaven Guinea Pig Rescue in Keighley and Neville's Nest by Leicester are the other boar dating rescues within your wider reach that are on our list of good standard rescues we can guarantee for.

I've just had a look on the Rescue Locator and it seems as if there's 2 possible rescues not too far from Sheffield.
Cavy Corners in Doncaster and the other one is in Barnsley.

I like Sheffield - I worked there for a year some time back.
It's one of the few cities I like

BARC in Barnsley have currently no guinea pig fosterer, @Merab's Slave and don't have piggies for the time being since pig in the city has stopped fostering. That is why I haven't mentioned them.
I have adopted from or fundraised for all the rescues mentioned myself.

Sorry @ Wiebke - your post wasn't there when I wrote mine.
We were obviously typing at the same time.
Thanks for the update on Barnsley.
