I have never been able to successfully bond any of my female pairs. My older female passed away in June, I was left with a younger female (8 months) who I now have another female (very young, about 8 weeks) I had to separate due to quarantine but have been starting to introduce them. They are now living in a Midwest cage (partition separating them, just bars no canvas) today was the first time I tried bonding, there was some chasing and rumblestrutting but no major fights. I had them together for a good hour. My question is this, (bc I’ve never had an introduction go so well) is there a certain amount of times I should do this before I put them into the same cage? I’m not always home and I don’t want to put them together and come home to a disaster. Any pointers anyone has is greatly appreciated. Thx!

Hope it works, I’d leave In Run for 24 hours if you can

Bonding is an all or nothing thing, you shouldnt keep putting them together then seperating them- plan a full day or weekend to let them bond properly in the run, then if all goes well move them straight into the newly expanded and cleaned cage together, they might take a week or two to sort out their new relationship living together- the worst thing is to keep interrupting before they can work through their new situation!
There are excellent bonding guides on the forum somewhere but I can't link them from my phone, hopefully someone more tech savvy can post the link!
