I have three girl guniea pigs, they all used to live together. However Gusiness was covered in cuts, i treated her with a spot on treatment and gave her a bath now all is well. downside is there in separate cages now.

Is there anyway i could re-bond them or is this a no go area?

Help anyone, id love to put them back together! Its mum, daughter and then gusiness is their friend lol.

You could introduce them on neutral ground and see how that goes. Give them plenty to do and three of everything and hopefully they may start to bond. :)

So pop them in a run outside/inside, three of everything and see how it goes yeah? What if they start fighting, do i get involved or do i wait and see how bad it gets?

Yep and if they start physically fighting seperate them but if it is just teeth chattering let them get on with it. :)

teeth chattering i get that all the time with my males, they hate each other 100% lol
okay so I'm going to do it in next couple of days.
how long do they require been watched or is it until they bond?

I would say it depends on how they go. If they bond straight away then I wouldn't seperate them again but if you are concerned they are going to fight seperate and try again the next day. Yep boys are harder to bond I've 2 lots in pairs and one who lives on his own as he is a grump! :D

Okay i will do! Do i need to totally clean their cage if they do bond? As it would be the two girls that are already togethers cage. If you get me.

Id love to have all my three boys together but as they got older, they just pestered each other and one of them was realy nasty.

What does it mean when they teeth chatter?

Welcome pleased you found us. :)

Make sure that you rub the one that is being introduced to the other two with the girls bedding sounds awful but that way she will smell the same as them, that will help with the bonding.

When i introduced Honey to Trinny and Susannah i gave honey a rub with some of their Hay they had in the hutch so she smelt the same as them. Then introduced them in a neutral run.

All was well after a few rumbles. :smitten:

Aw wow thanks.
I hope they accept her it will be great to have them together again!

If they teeth chatter it means they aren't happy and couple attack. Fingers crossed for them! :) I would clean the cage out too! :)
