Right its 2weeks 6days since Simba's op and as its a nice day I thought I'd take Simba, Nala & Kiara into the run to start bonding. Anyway, put them all together, no notice taken at first, then the girls go upto Simba, and from then he just made a purring noise constantly but kept trying to mount both the girls, they obviously didnt like this.
Is this normal behaviour? There was no agression shown at all.
 
I would say yes it's normal! Not all neutered males lose their instincts to mate.....Guinea isn't neutered so he obviously wants to mate with Maddie May (spayed female) but she has now put him in his place as he doesn't even try anymore ;D

Your girls will tell him to stop it, and he'll soon get the message! O0
 
Yes it is normal behaviour my neutered boar sometimes has a rumble and a mount and he has been with the Sows for ages now. Do not worry thier just doing thier thing ;) Sows will spray them as if to say back off boy when they have had enough.
 
Yay so if they ok again tomorw I can house them all together?
Is there anything major I need to watch out for?
 
I would say if they don't have any fights then keep them together. It's best to put them together first thing in the morning, then you have all day to watch them! Good luck with it, i hope they all get on O0
 
neutering doesn't stop them trying to mount the females, they will tell him where to go,
 
Well they're now altogether in the cage. So far so good but the cage looks so much smaller now theres 3 in there :-\ So not sure what to do about that...

Spike rumbled constantly when he first met Buffy. He didn't mount her at first, then did a couple of times but hasn't for a while since. My 2 didn't show any signs of aggression except for the odd nose nudge.

They finally live together now but I have noticed their behaviour change slightly as I think Buffy is quite dominant and bossy. I experience the alternate lady and the tramp scene with hay... Spike lost miserably poor little thing :(
 
Maybe add another level debs? I'm so glad its all gone well! :smitten: :smitten:

And as long as they have lots of floor time and things to hide in in the cage, I think its the perfect size! O0
 
No idea how to add an extra level, I'm no good at DIY! Their house has a top bit on it and they have a Chube plus 2x log tunnels to hide under and climb over :)
