Bonding?

I want to get my ladies a couple of friends...
I currnetley have two 8/9 month old guinea pigs but i would like maybe two more.
How would i introduce and eventually house them together?
Could i introduce two neutered boars or should i stick with females?
 
You can only have 1 neautered boar to a group of girls :)
You could get a neautered boar and a sow and put them all in a group...
 
Is that due to aggression between boars?
Could i get a boar and sow that had never met and bond them all as a group?
How do you bond piggies? Similar to bonding rabbits? Meeting on neutral ground etc?
 
Yes... the two males will fight, even to the death, to be the top pig.
Yep... try to bond the boar and sow first, then bond all 4 as a group, on neautral grounds also try putting fresh food down... eating together might make them happier to be with eachother ? just a suggestions but watch them closley incase of fights etc... I think you ahve to wait 3-4 weeks after he is neautered to go with the girls though :)
 
I'm looking to rescue the piggies (if i can find any) so if i get a pair from a rescue the boar will more than likely be neutered.
I would much rather rescue the piggies but i seem to be hitting a dead end every time :(
 
:( good luck finding some piggies... you hoping to find an already bonded sow and neautered boar?
I would help but I have no idea ;D sorry...
 
I would like an already bonded pair (in a perfect world) but i'm not fussy. My local RSPCA have a few baby guineas in and i emailed them for some advice but they never got back to me. >:( i'm guessing they have been busy, might make an appoinmnet to view some piggies :P

I will be looking for a sow soon... after all 3 of my boars are neautered... 2 of them already have girls waiting for them (girlfriend and a sister) but one of them will be lonley :(
So hopefully I can rescue a sow from somewhere :D
 
:) Take both your guins along and let them choose. Introducing two more (bonded or not) can upset the dynamics of either pair. Where are you?
 
I'm in Medway in Kent. Although my ladies live together they don't really cuddle up but then they don't fight either so must like each other!
