Hi
Can anyone recommend a good book about piggies. I am going to be a new piggy mummy. I have done some research on the internet but I'd like a good book to refer to.

Thanks

Yep, I agree that guineapiglopaedia is a good one, covers almost everything I think :)

Have to be wary too, as some books contradict each other :-\

Very true! I have a couple that contradict each other slightly.

Peter Gurney's books good.

I've read lots of stuff on the internet by Peter Gurney. Is he the best pig info authority do you think?

I just bought a really good book in the USA

Its called "Guinea Pigs" and its part of the new "Animal Planet Pet Care Library" series

It takes the best bits of most books and also talks about C&C cages, which I personally havent seen before in a gp book

The thing I like about it most is that some things are positioned from the point of view of the guinea pig - this is vital for a new owner with little or no experience, or a child.

It encourages readers to look at the world through the piggies eyes and is both child friendly and yet quite detailed.
There are references to forums at the back where owners can get more information or ask advice.
I'm very impressed with it
