Oh my goodness... I've had piggies all my life and are aware they have certain issues with "tummy fuzzing gas"... however... my Primrose actually left me speechless. We were having snuggle time (her favour spot is under my neck) and she lay down getting comfy and sighed then, just as I went to give her ears a scratch she looked at me and let out a loud audible bottom burp!
Needless to say that I was glad I didn't have company!

I love the sound of piggy poop gas because it usually means my bloat prone little Puggle is deflating and her tummy cramps are going away :) Our little boar Theo audibly farts too whenever he's having a relaxed cuddle, because he's a bloke!

I think it may have been a one off @Wiebke... she's never tooted in her life like that before lol. Tho, yes absolutely. I did lay off the cabbage and she is pooping all fine and is her usual self. However she wasn't best chuffed at me lol

Cabbage is well known for its gassing effects and its ability for causing severe bloat in guinea pigs not used to it or with a delicate digestion.
Please only serve it in small quantities together with other veg. Also make sure that you keep your diet a balanced low calcium overall in order to avoid bladder stone problems in the longer term. Make sure that you include water and pellets in your count, too.

Absolutely, and thank you @Wiebke. Altho her selected fave among the veggies and fruits readily available to all my piggies perhaps I will introduce slowly some new different treats to the Piggie House to vary things up and a adjust their diets for health reasons. After all Primrose is not a youngster any more 😁
