I have not seen them chewing on the bowl, but I came home to a chunk taken out of their bowl. We threw the chunk away but now I’m wondering do I need to throw the bowl away? The bowl is ceramic I’m not sure what else to get that they can’t tip over or chew through.

I personally would not throw it away for that small chip unless it is sharp a poses a risk to them.

We don’t recommend food is given in bowls but of course water is fine in bowls

It’s an adorable bowl!

When I give my girls things like veggies or pellets, I just sprinkle them around their cage. Bowls are great for water, though, with my girls.

If the edges are sharp you could rub the chip over lightly with fine sandpaper. I have one with a chip like which got the sandpaper treatment. It's a handy size for mixing/feeding recovery food or storing little bits of chopped treat veg in the fridge.
