Box Of Hay

I was really close to buying this yesterday, I just wasn't sure if this was safe or not. I probably wouldn't give the box. I would just take the hay out and mix it with their main hay. Has anyone tried this before or suggest against it?

I have not seen this before, does it come from the USA? I’m sure it would make a nice treat and add enrichment in the cold winter months.

It's a cardboard box filled with hay, mixed with: Marigold, Mango and Cranberry.

Yes, its from the USA. I think it's new because I've never seen it before.

If it turns out to be just a plain brown cardboard box, I think it would be perfectly safe to give them the hay in the box. It looks like it's designed for that, so they can dig their way in and forage around for the tastiest bits. If they feel the need for the extra roughage, it is safe for them to nibble the cardboard.

There are two heart shapes vertically, on the box. The sides just have regular cut outs.
