Hi everyone, Scooter my 3 year old dominant boar lost his cage mate, so we adopted Graham who is 5 and had lost his home due to being violent /aggressive. My plan was for then to live as neighbours as both dominant boys but could have the interest of seeing each other. Graham has put on weight going from 1kg 100g to 1kg 500g and seems very happy. But Scooter has lost weight going from 1kg 300g to 1kg 100g, over 3 months, the reason is that he is constantly rumble strutting and constantly obsessed with staring at Graham and trying to get his attention biting the bars, not resting. I have tried then together but too much teeth chattering. So today I took the step of separating them to different rooms and different gardens even on grass time in an effort to calm Scooter. He is otherwise well, bright, active, shiny coat but not the chubby little fellow he was. Question is have I done the right thing to separate? Could it be he has lost weight due to stress? Any ideas welcome tia

@Snowy's Mum It's difficult to say. It could be being in a new home and having different food, or it could be the rumble strutting. Or it could be his age, older boys tend to lose weight a little when they start losing muscle.
