He may well produce sperm rods for a month or two after neutering. Smeg is always present as I understand it is naturally produced lubricant type stuff.
 
I have a neutered boar and he still produces boar glue from time to time so I expect that would mean it would still be possible for him to get a sperm rod? He definitely still gets smegma and no less than my non neutered boar.
I would say is his anal sack is much neater and I never have to pick hay etc out of his butt unlike his brother who I think uses his butt like a vacuum cleaner!
