So tomorrow is the day my boys go to their first vet visit (we might have to reschedule tho since snow is getting bad out here) . Mostly it is just a check up, but we are worried about a small cough that Cho is having so we are having that looked at. We aren't sure if he is just eating to fast or what so better to be safe and go than end up sorry about it later. As for why I have been rather absent, I have been working on raising money to get them to said vet (which was luckily achieved so they can go!)

I just wanted to update everyone and share a few photos of the boys to make up for it.

Your boys are gorgeous, and very lucky to have ended up with sch a caring and committed owner.
It sounds like you are doing a great job with them, and I hope the vet check goes smoothly.

Thank you! I hope so too. Our ride has decided they don't want to go out tomorrow because of the snow which is understandable, but I still need to do something to get the boys out there. I am hoping I can find another ride or that the snow calms down by tomorrow morning.

Update #2: Just got back from the vet! She said they had a small supper respiratory infection. It wasn't exactly bad yet, but it was a good thing we brought them in. She gave us the meds for them and we were instructed to start them on it tonight and continue daily for a week. I am glad we were able to afford their meds too (we were technically one dollar short of the bill, but she let us take the meds anyway.)

I am so happy to have something to help them though. I know I started crying last night because I was so nervous I would be able to take them today, but thankfully it all worked out and the cuties will be on the road to recovery!

Great to hear that the roads were clear enough to get to the vet's and you were able to get the infection treated in its early stages. Well done for being an observant slave and getting her seen to!

Thank you! (Also I am so sorry. I think I might have confused people. The she in my post was the vet ^-^' My piggies are both boys)

I am a hundred percent sure I would do anything for these two. We were at first going to wait until their carrier came in to take them to the vet, but as soon as Cho started coughing me and my husband both went "Woah. Okay. It could be nothing, but it could ALSO be something. We need to go." I am just glad we didn't decide to wait anymore.

Well done getting that respiratory infection caught quickly.
A week of meds should do the trick.
Hope they recover quickly

Update: We are good to go to the vet today! My ride has decided the roads are good enough for them to travel on!
My guinea pig’s first visit to the vet when the time comes for a check up, we will be cycling to the clinic since it’s only about 15 km away and my guinea pig will be riding in the bike trailer, since I don’t drive because driving adds to climate change and environmental devastation.
