Adult Guinea Pig
I'm having some major problems with two of my boys at the moment... Fry and Louie.
They've never been best friends but of late, they just don't seem to get on at all. Fry is 2 years 9 months old and Louie is just coming up for a year old. They've been together since August of last year and to begin with they were fine.
As Louie got older and bigger there were the usual dominance issues, which didn't bother me too much. However, things are now worse than ever. They teeth chatter at each other, hackles go up, Fry chases Louie and occasionally nips him on the rump or ear. It seems to be happening constantly and it just doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I've tried bonding baths and all that kind of stuff, yet still they don't seem to be happy together.
On a few occasions I've had to put grids in the cage to separate them to give them some time out from each other but then when I do that, they go crazy trying to get to each other and seem quite distressed by being on their own.
I really don't know what to do for the best @)
