My Jake and Treacle have had their neutering ops today! Treacle is fine but very quiet and is snuggling up to me more. Jake's op was a bit more complicated - apparently all his workings are a little damaged from the severe abuse he has suffered so he's got to be kept away from the girls for 6 weeks to make sure. He's also had to have more antibiotic treatment for his skin - he was riddled with mites and fungicidal infection when mandy rescued him. So he's a bit sore and not feeling himself tonight. I've kept them both indoors - I have them in seperate cat carriers with a big fleece wrap each. I hope they'll be ok overnight in these - I don't have any indoor cages :( They both seem to be sleepy and not fussed about moving too much. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to help Jake's skin please?

Oh do you know what its called? He's got a big patch of dry, scabbed skin that seems to be the problem. I feel so sorry for him and so terrified I'm going to lose him, which is perhaps a bit melodramatic, I know. I've only had him 2 weeks and he's already my darling little teddy bear!

If you contact Chrissie she will advise you best. You can also use Aloe Vera gel to help soothe the area in the meantime...

How are they both today?

Jake is back to his usual boisterous self, Treacle is still very snuggly and needing lots of reassurance! Thank you for asking xx
