right i've had hugo and ralphy since august last year and they were about 8 weeks old,couple of weeks ago a great crash,bang came from their cage so rushed into the dinning room to see them nearly fighting,so broke it up and put hugo in the run for both of them to calm down,put them back about 2hours later bit of bum wiggling and humping going on but quite calm and seemed ok,gave them a bath on monday come home at lunchtime today to find the oh had put hugo in pen as ralphy was nibbling and going for him.whilst they aren't together they are wheeking and looking for each other.now i let them calm down again put them both in pen / run and they bloody started it again no blood,biting or cuts but think there would be if i didn't get one of them out,so now they are not together but wheeking and pinning for each other,so my question is do i admit that they aren't happy together at the moment and get another cage.god i thought they were nearly passed the teenage years!help help help

hi what are the actually doing? teeth chattering? bum wiggling? chasing? mounting? actual going head to head fighting?

well at first it starts with ralphy bum wigging whist brrrrrrrring! then he humps hugo which i understand to be ok just choosing which piggy is top piggy and now he keeps humping and chasing hugo and then hugo has enough so starts doing it back they then end up circling each other waiting to strike {which is were i get scared and separate them before any damage is done} they arnt really teeth chattering but that does go on during the day but not at these more aggressive times.:{

i would be tempted to leave them for an hour and see what happens they may just need to get past that stage? but have a towel handy just in case.

i'm trying this now god i'll be a nervous wreck before the evening is out!so much for a chilled out afternoon!they keep bickering but settle for a few minutes inbetween too hopeing this is a good sign

thats good i'm glad its worked for now :) i have a group of 4 that have been together about 10 days now and they still do the chasing, rumbling humping and occasional teeth chattering I'm trying to let them sort it out.

keeping a very close eye on them when at home worried sick whilst at work!but oh is home he will sort them out if needed i'm just hoping once they reach 1 it will settle down and thats only few weeks away seems like a last ditch attempt at who is boss piggy!was worried all last night,these boys and what we do for them xoxo xoxo

i know i lay awake most of the night listening for scuffles and squeaks lol.

mine are 3 girls and a boy!

hopefully they will settle down. i think if they were going to have a fight they would of done by now :))
