What's your preferal boy guinea pig , girl guinea pig and why ?!

I know I still haven't made up my mind I will go for girls there more sociable and easier to train ! X

Ooh, that's a difficult one! The girls tend to be more talkative, but the boys enjoy their cuddles more (or at least, that's my experience!)

In a practical sense, I find girls are easier to look after than boys, mainly because they don't have stinky bum issues! (Well, not normally, anyway!)

Gosh all the votes so far are neck and neck !

Cannot vote, as I love both my girls and my neutered boars (best way of having both safely...) ;)

I prefer males in most species which is why I can easily answer, generally less moody and more laid back.

Dont set us females up for the small proportion of males to have a joke, which i know they will! :)) x

Well surpose if you have both boys and girls you can't answer ! :)

I only have boys but know that I would love girls just as much!

I have girls, wouldn't know where to start with boys.Have fell in love with a boy I got out of a bad situation but he went to a rescue .My friend has two boars and love them

I have 2 boys - I cant comment on the cuddliness - one loves them one hates them. Not sure how that would be different with girls!

Really hard to answer. My boys are all tame and loving.

My girlie is new so not very brave yet so I haven't been able to see her character as much. The boys love attention but are quiet. My new girl is a wheeker but scared as she's new.

So... I'd have to say boys for now but really, until I have properly got to know my new girlie I can't be a fair judge.

I would not own any piggy but boars, girls I'm sure are lovely but give me a boar any day bigger then life characters :)

Girls are so much cleaner and love coming in the house for running around, the boys keep making a run for it.

Very hard to say.

I had girls as a child. Bumblebee was a normal, lovely pig; my Polly was a real character. Probably the pig with the most personality I've ever owned. I was really devastated when she died.

I've owned three sets of boars as an adult. They've all been great pigs - and the two most recent pairings have been wonderful and extraordinary characters with loads of personality. Some of the boys have been more talkative than others. Some have been lap pigs whilst others have preferred to exchange greetings without being cuddled.

I do wonder if having girls would help eliminate the 'lone boar' problem when one of a bonded pair dies - but then I'd never heard about boar dating before so I now realise there is a solution to what I consider as the biggest problem with owning boars.

I think I'll have to plump down on the side of boys; although all pigs are gorgeous.

I hear you sister! :)

I knew that would rattle your chain :)) x

Has to be girls for me, never had boy piggies, the bits and the impaction thing puts me off.... however all the boars I have met are so cuddly and laid back. @MerryPip's boys are amazingly cuddly, they are real fuss monsters  I love going round for piggie cuddles. Our girls enjoy fuss but on their terms.....

Have only ever had girls. So had to vote girls. But I'm sure if a neutered boar fell into my lap I would love him just as much- all my girls have had such varied personality's don't know if there really are male &female characteristics-just perfect piggy ones :))
Love them all. Xx

Neck and neck once again ! (If you haven't voted please vote !) :)
