I was wondering if anyone on here has had experience with their boys “chewing or biting” on the others fur? I had noticed that my quieter guinea (pippin) had been chasing the more hyper guinea (piper) which I found unusual in itself. This would only occur a few times and always end without injury’s. Then today I had noticed pippin had been biting gently on pipers fur and I’m unaware of the reason for this as I’ve never seen this behaviour before. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

You may find our barbering guide helpful. It looks at all possible aspects of what can cause this behaviour (there are a few!)

This was really helpful, thank you. Luckily it’s not caused damage to his fur and hopefully won’t reach that point
